Retained search is ideal for confidential replacement, hiring critical roles or when targeting relocation candidates. OnDeck is your exclusive partner and manages all aspects of the process. We will conduct a discovery to determine ideal qualifications, identify key stakeholders involved with the hiring process and establish how to best market the job opportunity to passive candidates. An experienced recruiter will be dedicated to the job until it is filled. Our approach achieves a higher candidate satisfaction & retention while minimizing the number of interviews and overall time to hire. All candidates presented will be exclusive to our client. OnDeck will not submit the same candidates to other clients during consideration. The fee is calculated off of the first-year base salary and paid in three installments; 1/3rd due when the search is initiated, 1/3rd due once a candidate has completed their first interview and 1/3rd due upon the candidate’s start date. Example: 20% * $85,000 Salary = $17,000 Fee (paid in thirds: $5,666/$5,666/$5,668).
Contingent search is ideal for businesses that do not have a dedicated recruiter on staff, experience spikes in hiring or have poor results attracting applicants. During a contingent search OnDeck is not an exclusive partner but rather an extension of our client. We conduct a discovery to help understand our client's current search efforts and provide alternative solutions to fill the role. The fee is calculated off of the first-year base salary and contingent on the hiring of a candidate presented by OnDeck. If our client hires someone they sourced directly or through a competitor, they pay nothing. Example: 25% * $85,000 Salary = $21,250 Fee.
Contained search is a hybrid of retained and contingent search. Contained search is the most affordable option. As a result of gained efficiencies through a contained search we are able to pass along savings to our clients compared to a contingency search. It’s best chosen when a business wants to hire a professional search partner exclusively to work in tandem with their internal teams but will not be competing against other staffing agencies. The fee is calculated off of the first-year base salary with a portion deposited at the beginning of the search. The reason for this is because paying a portion of the fee up front, the client is committing and tends to be more active in the process (the hiring company has a job description, approved salary, selected the interview team, provides feedback post interviews and is ready to make an offer as soon as they meet the right candidate). Example: 15% * $85,000 Salary = $12,750 Fee (minus $1,000 deposit).
